Happy Autumn! Whether purchasing an autumn original or print or commissioning a Christmas pet portrait, enjoy wandering!
I discovered a talent for drawing at age 70, and my art quickly became an all-consuming passion. I began with animal portraits with the goal of capturing their personalities and spirits...and your imagination! Birds and insects followed. Then farm and woodland creatures. And flowers! Ah! The flowers! I hope you enjoy my art as much as I do.
My work, primarily colored pencil and watercolor, is entirely hand-drawn, using reference photos that you provide. I use a variety of surfaces for my art, depending on the medium, your goals, and the reference photos of your pet. Pricing is dependent on your requests. As an example, a 9"x12" colored pencil head portrait of one dog is $400.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains surrounding our home, my hammered dulcimer, and the art and music of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our Dobie and Heinz 57 mutt are rarely far from our sides.
